The Gathering Day in Maranatha

Our first event of the year is the gathering day. It was held I 3^rd October 2009 to welcome the new members of AMSA UKM. It began with all of our AMSA’s members gathered at d’Kost restaurant to dine together. Hanny, our AMSA’s leader welcomed us all with “wonderful” seafood cuisines. (Bon Appetite!)

While we were eating, Kasmanto a.k.a. Kus2 (Our PcP leader) explained about stigmatized illness – leprosy, as our Post conference Project. After that, he explained the job desk for tomorrow morning. Then, we went to our last event the introduction from our new members. There were 28 new members who joined AMSA this year. And that introduction finished the welcoming party, everybody was happy, and back to home fully. J

WORLD HEART MEMORIAL DAY FROM AMSA UKI

As the heart is one of the most important organ in human body, AMSA-UKI (an organization which was only develop in UKI this September) is doing its first activity: World Heart Memorial Day. World Heart Memorial Day (WHMD) in on September 28^th but we choose to celebrate it on September 26^th because it is close to Idul Fitri.

The purpose of this activity which was on Friday is to make the public realize that they should take care of the heart. Other than that, this activity is to introduce AMSA chapter UKI which has just been develop. World Heart Memorial Day by AMSA-UKI was situated on medical faculty area, medical faculty of Christian university’s hospital, and the area around it. AMSA-UKI member which consists of approximately 90 members did various activities, such as:

ATMAJAYA HOSPITAL VISIT 2008

Hospital Visit, or more commonly known as HosVis, is one of AMSA’s annual events. This year, HosVis was held at Pondok Indah Hospital (RSPI), from 7am until 1pm on September 22^nd, 2008.

In total, there were 60 people who took part on this affair. These 60 people composed of 15 committee members and 45 regular participants. Truthfully, the committee has no intention to put the numbers of allowed participants into certain limit. However, RSPI had told us right from the start that they could only afford to have a group of 60 peoples to walk around the hospital, because the act of it will certainly impaired patients’ outflow.
